Mobile meets energy efficiency

As a part of Copenhagen's major initiative on energy-efficient operation the municipality sought to develop a mobile tool aiming at encouraging energy efficient behaviour within the municipality and throughout the municipality's many stakeholders.

We developed an Android, iPhone and iPad application based on a specifically tailored PDF-viewer that gives the user easy access to mini guides spanning from ventilation, indoor climate setting and heating systems to general energy management and water consumption. In 2011 DKK 130 million were allocated to execute energy saving initiatives until 2015. One of the goals is to reduce Copenhagen's CO2 emissions by 20% in 2015 and we are certain that easy-to-use applications like the Energy Guide can become valuable tools in achieving this vision.
